Six of Twelve Apostles at Fireside - June 21, 2005

Tonight was truly special!  I had the opportunity to not only go to a Tuesday Night Fireside, but also to sing in the choir.  Something that I would never typically do, but figured if I'm going to be here, I'm going to really BE here.  Doing everything possible to maximise the experience.  This was an amazing fireside because six of the twelve apostles attended and all seven presidents of the seventy were there as well.  The six apostles were: Russell M. Nelson, M. Russell Ballard, Richard G. Scott, Jeffrey R. Holland, Dieter F. Uchtdorf and David A. Bednar.  The Presidents of the Seventy were: Earl C. Tingey, D. Todd Christofferson, Charles Didier, Merrill J. Bateman, Robert C. Oaks, Neil L. Anderson, and Ronald A. Rasband.  There were also 140 new mission presidents in attendance.  This was a very powerful and spiritually uplifting night.  The song we sang in the choir was "Joseph Smith's First Prayer."  Jefferey R. Holland spoke about the restoration of the gospel.  When he said the First Vision, he paused before "hear him" and there was just so much SPIRIT in the room.  It was powerful!  This was truly a night that will never be forgotten.
